In case you need tires, oil, or other maintenance while you're at CFO in Custer, SD, There are 3 Yamaha dealers in the area. Note that the first one, Black Hills Power Sports is a supporter of CFO and will be contributing door prizes. All three of these dealers are near the riding routes I put together in THIS TOPIC.

1. The nearest Yamaha dealer is 44 miles from Custer in Rapid City. This is a fairly large dealership that also sells Kawasaki. I have done a fair amount of business at Black Hills Power Sports and have had good experiences there 95% of the time.

They have reconfigured the streets in that neighborhood, and the newest streets may not show up on your mapping program. The easiest way to get there is:
--From I. 90, take Exit 61, (Elk Creek Road) exit to the south (Exit 61 is on the east side of Rapid City)
--turn west onto the first street south of I. 90. This may be Eglin Street, but with the road reconfiguration, it's hard to say.
--go about 1/2 - 3/4 mile and Black Hills Powersports will be on your right (or north)

2. There is another Yamaha dealer in Sturgis, 71 miles from Custer (on I. 90 west of Rapid City). It is a small/moderate sized dealership. Since they also sell BMW's, they seem to have a better selection of sport/touring tires. A few months ago I purchased some Michelin Pilot Roads there. The cost for front and rear, installation, and tax was $366.

They are just south of I. 90. There are two Sturgis exits; take Exit #32, the eastern one. After taking the exit (it only goes north) go about 1/4 mile, then take a left (west) onto Vanocker Cyn. Road. Follow it around as it curves south, go under I. 90 and they will be on your right just past I. 90.

3. 71 miles south of Custer, across the Nebraska state line near the interection of US 20 and US 385 at Chadron, Nebraska is another Yamaha dealer. I've been there, but never did any business except to buy a pair of gloves. It not a huge place. They sell more ATV's than motorcycles.
