Olympic cold weather gloves

I just bought a pair of Olympic gold weather gloves on sale at motosport.

I am no stranger to cold weather gear but these gloves have some wierd kind of rubber piece sewn into the left thumb..

Is that supposed to be some kind of visor wipe??

The left thumb is the only place that has this.

I dont have those exact gloves, but I have some other gloves with a rubber strip. Thats basically your windshield wiper right there.

Sounds like an outdated pair of gloves.

The new benford 2008 cold weather gloves have automatic and delayed visor wipers. They're awesome. Just press the button located near your left pinky toe and watch how your thumb will automatically wipe your visor.

Take caution though, it is strongly advised that you do not operate these gloves without a helmet or with the visor lifted. :blink:

Yup, it's a visor wipe. I wish they wouldn't put it on the thumb though. On the right edge of the left index finger would be a much better location IMO.
