The EOM post on whiskey reminded me that this is a beautiful 1 hour ride along the shore from CFR.

Glenora Distillery

There are tours on the hour, and have a dining room...never eaten there but might be a good lunch spot.

Gypsy - I don't mean to be insulting or pedantic, BUT, Scottish whisky is spelled without the "e." That other imitation stuff is spelled with the e.

That's ok Jim I am not insulted. It says on their site that they can't call it "scotch" because it is not made in Scotland. There was also a lawsuit brought against them by the Scotch Whisky Association to try and stop them using the name 'Glen' on any of their products. Bear in mind they really are located in a place called Glenville near Glenora Falls and Nova Scotia is Latin for "New Scotland" and there are 100 places with the word Glen in the name. It is getting a bit much when an industry claims to have the rights to a common word. Since Glenora is still using 'Glen Breton' as the name for their top product I assume they won the case.
