Just a very quick note to let everyone know that I just got back from completing an SS1600K. :yahoo: It should also qualify as an in-state ride. I hope to have the paperwork collected and sent in later this week. I also hope to get a bit of a writeup done and posted in the next week. (Yeah, I got pics. Just give me a chance to post them).
The route? Entirely in Ontario, Canada. Left my home in Carleton Place. South to Brockville get on the 401. Turned east for the border of Ontario. At the border turned around and headed west for Windsor. At Windsor turned around and headed back to Brockville and home. The entire length of the 401 in both directions plus a little bit extra. 1800 km in 20 hours.
Now that I have had a day to think about it. My main thought was it was easier than I thought it would be. I figured I would be fighting fatigue more than I was at then end. (No problems there, arrived home alert and awake). And I wasn't as sore as I thought. Stock saddle but the only "sore" muscles were my left wrist (yes, left and not right) and a bit of achyness in my neck.
Now, to get that paperwork submitted!
