As my momma always said, "Stupid is as stupid does". And on a suspended license, no less. And this is just adding more fuel to the already white-hot fire about motorcycles here in the Portland area after multiple motorcycle-related accidents and fatalities this weekend alone. The latest fatality was Sunday when a Spokane Gold Wing rider drifted across the centerline east of Cougar WA on NF-25 (backside around Mt. St. Helens) and hit a pickup head-on.

By Associated Press

ARLINGTON, Ore. (AP) -- Oregon State Police say a trooper pulled over a motorcyclist who had been clocked at 130 mph on Interstate 84 near the spot where the Deschutes River joins the Columbia.

State police said the driver told the trooper he knew that he was driving too fast but was trying to get his female passenger to an 8:30 a.m. court appointment Monday in Bend.

She didn't make it.

KVAL-TV says the trooper arrested 31-year-old William Niswanger, of Sandy, on several outstanding traffic warrants as well as for investigation of reckless driving, driving while suspended and recklessly endangering another person.

I-84 is pretty wide open out there. This just points out how suspending someone's license doesn't prevent them from operating a motor vehicle. The people that tend to get big suspensions have already been getting caught doing stupid things, and they will continue to show the same lack of intelligence. I doubt a little jail time will stop Billy from riding a bike. He's just end up buying a bike with current tags and not bothering to register or insure it, since he likely can't afford insurance anyway. The passenger showed a pretty healthy lack of common sense too. Late for court, and got on a bike with Billy? :dribble:

Hehhehe I got pulled over for speeding in the court parking lot, on the way to court when I was 18 :)
