Al Green is amazing! If you don't already have it, get his recent box set which covers pretty much everything he did in the 60's and 70's.
I heard a duet of Simply Beautiful recently with he and Dana Owens, an incredible jazz singer who is AKA Queen Latifah. Yep, the rapster. She is a closet jazz singer, and uses her real name when she sings Jazz. In a million years, I would have never believed I would enjoy her singing, but this version is most special. Al comes in about a minute into the song, with a voice as smooth and soft as well worn catchers mitt covered in melted butter.
