So cal
I was hoping I would never see the day but just the other day it cost 31 dollars and change to

fill up the bike. 7.9 gallons at 3.99 a gallon. On the positive side at least the RT doesnt need gas every day and

can still get 225 miles to the tank.

It seems like just the other day I was topping off my new 500 Interceptor for 4 bucks or so. I do love the size of

the FJR tank though and it was a huge factor in the purchase decision.

3.99 a gallon ?
Malibu. That is the 91 octane price. The full serve price is usually about 70 cents higher and you would be amazed by

how many people pay for it. I guess if you live there (unfortunately I dont) you got the bucks to pay for it.

Could be worse... yesterday I say a fag of Harleys buying gas at the Shell near Orlando Int'l Airport.

$5.50 a gallon for REGULAR, not 91 octane. It's the station where the tourists are stupid enough to always buy gas before returning their cars.

That's insane, lol. Of course, that whole area around the Orlando airport is designed to extract as much money as possible from the tourists with the toll roads and all.

Whay are you putting 91 octane in it? Save the money and use 87, unless your having issues with engine knock or ping. There is no performance benefit to using higher octane gas.

yeah, use 87..and 7.9 gallons...on the FJR? Do you have an aux tank?

Oh, God, here we go . . . .!!! <_<

But he's right. Higher octane is like burning money, not fuel.

And if I come across a station that I know the price is jacked because of where it is, I'll only get a gallon or so to get me out of the area and back to cheaper gas.

The OP PLAINLY writes "at least the RT...."

I do believe he's referring to a Beemer that probably requires 91 octane.

Wait a minute...you mean people talk about other bikes here too?

Well, why is he posting about filling up the RT and then talking about how the FJR tank size is a big reason why he bought an FJR. It makes it hard on us guys where reading is not to fund a mental.

+1

I can't be expected to read every single word! I mostly come here to look at the pretty pictures.
