As soon as school let out this past June my 11yo son Ian and I took off on the FJR to Lava Beds National Monument in Northern CA. It was his first major motorcycle trip. We had a wonderful time together. It really is a magical and mystical place. Ian took most of the wildlife photos. I hope this will be a time he carries with him all his life.
(more thanks than I can ever give to his mother Nancy for allowing him to climb on the back of the bike and travel over a thousand miles with me)
