Last weekend my wife and I took our first trip with her FJR. We went up to Whitefield NH and spent the night at a nice little B&B. The ride home was interesting, besides being cold and wet, we encountered SNOW coming through Franconia Notch.

The FJR performed flawlessly! Can't say the same for my ZZR, she ran like crap for the first 50 miles or so in the cold dampness. Think it's time for new plugs.

Here's some pics of the trip:

About to depart:

Truant's Tavern in North Woodstock, at the south entrance of Franconia Notch, where we stopped for lunch. Great French onion soup, clam chowder, and potato skins!

The Lion and the Rose, the B&B we stayed at.

I wish we had stopped in Franconia Notch and taken a pic of our bikes in the snow on the way home!

Looks like fun. Thanks for the pictures. I haven't ridden in snow in almost 30 years and I don't plan on doing it again if I can avoid it. Sure is getting cold though.

Nice pics. You don't find the leathers cold this time of year?

Naw, I like leathers. That Cortech jacket is is pretty heavy. Besides, we've both got Gerbing heated jacket liners (my wife has the gloves too).

Thanks for posting ZZR12.

I don't have a map in front of me as I'm typing this so I will look later to see where Franconia notch is.

I was in your neck of the woods in September and thought that the Crawford norch was awesome!. I was heading south/east through that notch and my jaw was dropping at the beautifull surroundings as you head down that steep grade.

Congrats on a fun couples trip!

My wife and I rode together recently on my FJR to a nearby B&B in Galena, IL. She had the best time - and wants to do it again.
