My wife, Nancy, damaged her back last year and was unable to ride with me, up until today. Late this morning, we left our home in Pulaski, NY and rode down to the village of Skaneateles, NY. Skaneateles is sited at the head of Skaneateles Lake, A body of water some 17 Miles long and approximately 200 feet deep in places. By days end we'd put around 170 Miles on the bike. I know that 170 miles in FJR terms, isn't much. but, for us, this trip today was the answer to our prayers that Nancy would ride with me again

Typical autumn hillside in CNY. There are a lot of farms around the lake.

This was Nancy's first outing where she was the camera person. I think she did a great job. Don't you?

At the end of the day, as we were making our way back north, we came upon this herd of Halloween punkins; the perfect end to a perfect day!

Greg,

What a beautiful trip with some vivid range of colors, Thanks for sharing.

May this be one of many wonderful trips for Nancy and that her back heal well.

Yay Nancy! While not as bad as your situation, my wife went out riding with me for the first time in a month today. I can imagine the happiness you felt having your spouse along with you.

Congrats to her and here's hoping for many more miles to you both!

Great pictures Greg! I use to go to school up near there and would have to pass through Skaneateles on my way back and forth to Sag Harbor. I've always been meaning to get back there on the bike. You brought back some good memories. Great apple picking around there also this time of year....
