A very belated trip report but here goes! Especially for those wondering were to go next summer!

A convergence of a number of events solidified our plans for a long summer ride - CFR in June, WFO-8 the end of July, and not having been in the Pacific Northwest for awhile. CFR was too early for us to get away; but WFO-8 provided the incentive. The total trip was just over 4800 miles in 21 days starting the Monday, July 27, 2009 . The full report can be found here https://theboomerzoomers.net/trips/canada2009/index.htm

Here's the route:

First night out after a late start because I tried to poke my eye out the day before. I grew up across the Shasta Valley from Mt. Shasta and never get tired of looking at it.

"I saw a fish!" The Deschutes river running behind by our room in Bend, OR.

Lunch stop in Mitchell, OR. You have to take the "business loop" to see downtown. Left to right - Catherine's Vstar 1300, Roy's FJR, Brodie's post elk / pre-paint job, FarWestFastEddy.

Great Photos. Thanks for sharing.

I have a question if I may. A number of us will be visiting the Dawson Creek, BC area next year as part of DamTour.com.

What documentation, if any, was required regarding proof of MC insurance as you entered Canada?

Thanks

Keep Going!

I have never been asked for any ins. docs. at the border, but if you do have an incident you will want to have informed your insurer in advance of your trip and they mail you a special card, which you should carry, proving that you are insured for the time period of your trip.

Immigration never asked, just passport. Need to have it if have an accident or get stopped. On our entire trip, we only saw 2 Mounties West of Osoyoos and they were running a radar trap.
