After the Patriot's entire starting offensive line was injured; the defensive line was decimated. Then the recovering offensive players were re-injured and many of the starting defensive players were not recovered. And finally, the Patriots played with no fire, no apparent will to win and almost looked like a team that was throwing the odds to lose over the last few games. It looks like the Patriots rolled over and played dead.
Also, it looks like that really swell guy Payton is going to be fast tracked to the Super Bowl as a great swan song and expect him to be given any small help to go out awhiner, err winner.

The Patriots didn't lose, they got beat. I'm not yet reconciled as to how a first part of the year team could dominate, yet finish in such a tail tucking whimper, in spite of the fact that 92% of the team was unfit to play.
