I recently purchased a new (from 2005) PCIII, but it has an old firmware version on it, 1.0.0.18, which is to old to update with the computer software. Dynojet explained that any firmware older than 1.0.0.20 must be updated with a PC Programmer. To buy it from Dynojet is $50, but after the firmware is updated, there is no need for the programmer anymore, so I was wondering if anyone had one laying around? Thanks.

Can you send the unit to Dynojet and get it updated?
I could, but just don't want to take it off after I just put it on and organized everything where I wanted and pay the $25 fee. Before I installed it I called Dynojet and they told me a local Dynojet Tuning Center could update it and to just go ahead and put the PCIII on the bike and ride it up to the tuning shop to get updated when I had the chance. Well, I went to the Tuning shop and the guy had no idea what he was doing, he didn't even know what a PC programmer was. I'll probably just have to buy one from Dynojet for $40 even though once I update the PCIII, I'll never need it again.
