So now we know where Dani, and maybe even HRC/Repsol, get advice and counsel.

https://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Puig+on...psol+Honda+role

Alberto Puig appears to be a third rate as*h*le. What a classless way to close out this period.

Nicky when interviewed and asked for dirt after Indy said "I'm not going to be the crazy girlfriend and run around telling all kinds of stories. I had a great relationship with Honda, and worked with a lot of good people."

I would venture a guess that Puig (note for English speakers that PUig starts with PU) is not among those "good " people.

I don't know why we expect Dani to be a class act if this is the guy that is advising and mentoring him.

Wow...since Puig is Dani's mentor it explains a lot about what a whiney little ******* he is. I seem to remember Puig doing a lot of complaining and finger pointing in his GP career too.

I guess next year will see if Honda made the right decision

I'll be rooting for Nicky. I have to believe manufacturers don't want someone throwing up all over the press like that...no class. He sounds bitter and jealous. These guys have fans for a reason and throwing them under the bus just makes it easier for retail customers to follow them. Bad move. I hope someone puts a boot in his ***.

Yeah, Puig is a complete ******. I loved how Dani got booed everywhere during the USGP!

I predict Dani'll be 4th in points next year. But I'm hoping for 10th! :D

Dude...what an ******! Just like a loser always trying to point the finger at someone else to take the heat from themselves.

Well, he isn't a class act. And Puig's a ****.

Now that I think about it, "Puig" is a pretty good word to describe and *******. As in, "Ya frickin' puig." I think I'll start using that. Maybe we can get moto racing fans across the world to pick it up.

Pedrosa is a puig. So's his manager.

I have really enjoyed watching the races with my kids and have not gotten into the team intrigue, but after reading that, I certainly understand why Hayden is going to Ducati.

OK, I am sure there are other reasons, but holy crap, what a jerk!

I think I will have to follow next season a bit more closely. B)

Amazing how "you frickin' puig" can whine and complain about Nicky when Hayden has had more podiums in one year then Puig did in his whole career, not to mention wins and oh yeah the most important thing a world title.

What a ****** bag. :angry2:

An excellent article on Soup today about this. With a real bonus: actual facts! :D

But the most damning fact about data sharing in the Repsol garage is this: knowledgable sources say that Dani Pedrosa re-upped his contract with HRC last year, and in that agreement, he stipulated that he would have full access to Nicky Hayden's data (or any rider on a Honda who is fast)...while also stipulating that his own data would be kept private. Therefore, Pedrosa can view Nicky's data anytime he wants, but Hayden has not been able to view Pedrosa's data all year long.
I hope Dovizioso wipes the track with Pedrobot all freaking year.

The whole Honda/Hayden thing is a mistery to me. Over here hayden outguns Pedrosa hands down in the poularity stakes. This unnecesary crap from Pedrossa's manager will lose him any kudos he had with a lot of people.

In my opinion his size has a lot to do with his speed. If he had a 25lb weight in his fairing things might be a little more equal. Tosser.

I just hope Nicky can find his feet with that Duc next year and blow Pedrossa into the weeds....now wouldn't that be fun to watch?

Yes, it would! It would be hysterical, even....

And given the speed of the Duc and Nicky's riding style, it's entirely possibly that it could happen... that would be sweeeeeeet! :D

I think Nicky's flat track style is especially well suited to the Ducati, and I think he will do well next year.

The Alice satellite Ducati team appears to be poised to announce Mika Kallio as one of their riders next year in the premiere class.

If you haven't see it yet, you should take a look at the After the Flag program for the Philip Island race. Its available for viewing without subscription at the official Moto GP web site. Mika lost his front, was bucked around on the track, left the track, powered his way across the grass, hit the gravel trap with no braking, slid through like his ice racer background prepared him, and got back out on the track, tire bit in again when he had fresh grip, more bucking, and finally settled out and on with the race. Dovizioso was being interviewed when it happened, and he caught it out of the corner of his eye on a monitor. He grabbed his head with both hands, his jaw dropped 6 inches, and he exclaimed "Mama Mia! MAMA MIA!!"

It was even better than Guintoli's surfboard ride into the gravel.

The motogp link is https://www.motogp.com. Any of the news stories are free.

The After the Flag episodes are at

Episode 12 is the one with the Kallio and Guintoli highlights. You can't view the general video content on the Dorna website without logging in, but the After the Flag episodes have been viewable without logging in, so I assume they are being offered to all at no charge.

Agreed, I am definitely looking forward to seeing Nicky on the Duc next season. I don't think Honda did right by Nicky after he won the title back in 06.
