I am selling a Penske 8981 rear shock with remote reservoir. This shock was originally on a 2007 FJR and was setup for a 220lb rider that was around 6'2". The shock raised the seat up maybe 1/2". I have included pictures showing the Penske shock next to a stock FJR shock to show how much longer the Penske shock is then the stock shock. I used the shock on two different 2005 FJR's and it fit perfectly. The mounting bracket setup I am including will not work on a Gen I bike but will work perfectly on a Gen II bike. I have included pictures of the remote reservoir mounted on a 2007 FJR. I just used zip ties to mount the reservoir on my Gen I bikes. The shock is in great shape and also includes a Traxion Dynamics shock sock. Please note that the shock should be rebuilt before it's used on your bike. I am asking $425 +Shipping for the shock. The box with the shock and mounting bracket setup in it weighs 8lbs and will be shipped from 54601. That should help you estimate shipping costs. The 8981 Penske which I am selling has 6 preload settings.

Dang, buncha Penskes on here lately. Your sock looks as bad as mine did when I got mine, but under the sock you can see it did it's job.

I had never seen the remote reservoir mounted behind the subframe before. Mine outside, and on the other side. I learn something everyday here.

**********Sold*********** - Thanks OWSLEY.

Does anybody know how to update the thread topic as Sold which I have seen done before. I don't see the option to do that or even edit my origial post so people can see it's sold right away at the top. I can however edit additional posts though on this thread.

Okay, I could see the pics on my phone.

Yours is on the "near" side. Helmet lock side.

That is the same bracket I have and I mounted it on the outside of the location you have. But mine is on the right(far) side. My shock is aft of yours.

I may change my location now that I have seen how you had yours hooked up. I think I will keep it on the right(far) side. Thanks for the image and idea

Not a problem. Nothing a beats a good picture when figuring out how to do something.
