I just performed the first TBS and spark plug change at 14,180 miles. The old plugs were PERFECT, all the same color and wear. Probably did not need replacing.

My queary : Would the perfect condition of the old spark plugs suggest that

'05 FJR #3300 has a healthy valve train, and dare I say a non ticker ?

Thanks for feedback and opinions.

BTW the TB's were very close, the bike has been smooth and damn near perfect since new.

No.

I wernt through several sets of spark plug on my old Timex ('04 ABS).

They looked perfectly normal at every change. <_<

On my ticker when I looked at the head after if was pulled, the #2 cylinder exhaust port was the cleanest. This was the cylinder with the worst slop in the exhaust valve. I was thinking it was because that valve moving around so much was causing airflow disruption in that port and thus "scrubbing" the port walls better. Plugs looked perfect. My observation, worth 2 cents.
