I’m installing the Eyes of God PHIDs on my 2005 and noticed that the high-voltage wire that you can’t cut on the OEM HID replacement lamps isn’t an issue with the PHIDs. I’m assuming that if I don’t want to mount the ballasts in the nose, I can just extend the (16 gauge?) wires and put the ballasts towards the back of the bike. True? And if I do that, can I make the extension with the same gauge wire or should I use a larger gauge because of the extended run?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can extend the wire. No biggie, so don't sweat it. This wire is not all that sensitive or delicate. The PHID ballast on my 04 non-ABS are located on the right side where the ABS pump normally is. I obviously had to extend the wires, and have had no issues.
