PIAA 1100X

Folks- I have the PIAA 1100X lights mounted on their side like shown below:

These are driving lights - but thought I should orient them 90 degrees in the housing to get the beam correct.

Does anybody know the correct mount for these lights so the beam pattern is optimized? Perhaps they are round beam pattern and it does not matter.

I see a ton of installations of these lights on the forks sideways - so this is likely not a problem correct?
