Consumated the Ebay deal today. Seller and his wife were awesome folks, originally from NY, to deal with. Bike is flawless! Already has hyperlights, bar risers, extended windshield, bag reflectors and a very nice tarp.

I've decided to go straight forward with the following mods(farkles):

Radiator guard

Frame sliders

Fairing sliders

Insulate the gas tank

Reduce the throttle spring tension

Electronics shelf

Radar detector

Just FYI for everyone, I picked up three new 2004 model HJC helmets with Snell certification for just under $200 delivered total. It gives me a S,M,L for any size rider I may have. Thought that was a good deal!

Now if I can just accelerate the healing of this broken arm....

:eh:

Speedy recover, my man! Now tell the truth, been out there sittin on it revin' the engine, ain't ya?

Your going to really like this bike. After a couple years riding mine I still like it more everytime I throw a leg over it. Make that a Valentine One detector! Worth every cent, plus you can put it in your cage and pratice using it ;)

Jeff, Re: Electronics shelf. Be careful, not all shelves are compatible with all aftermarket windshields. Do your homework.

"...silver bike reflectors on a Blue MC?" Where do you see that?

The last picture, on the back of the saddlebags...
"Oh, I see!", said the blind man. Actually, I didn't notice because I have the same reflectors on mine. They are actually black unless light hits them. I'm assuming the flash on the camera "lit them up". A couple of riders have followed me at night, and when we stop, they always ask where I got them. They do light up when headlights shine on them.

Yes it is! Thanks!!!

:D

The reflectors are black and they blend amazingly well with the bags.

I am still searching for what pad to put on the rear bag. My kids will be the most common passenger and they are small, 9-14. Anybody recommend the Yami pad or is something else better suited?

I assume you are talking about a backrest pad? Since the age (and probably size) or your chikdren is different, why not make a pad by purchasing some square foam rubber (like the stuff you'll be buying to jam into the fairing) and cover it with some naughahyde purchased from the local fabric shop. Get some velcro and attach the pad with velcro in a manner that allows you to position it for each child. Of leave it off for SWMBO.
