Well I took the plunge and picked up a Suzuki DL650 today. May I say how smooth the little v-twin engine is and how efficient it seems to operate. The lights are magnificent. I thought the FJR lights were the best oem's until now. Plus I have heard that Electrosport is adding a stator for the 650. will be out soon and I have no other details. I believe the Wee has 400 watts oem. Now the fun really starts. Farkle til you die or run out of money, which ever comes first. Mike in Fremont, Ca.

Mike, if your thinking about setting up some HID's on both the FJR and your new Wee, scarf up a set of the Soltek if/when the GB runs its course. There will be as set of mounting brackets designed to fit your new bike, and this HID light kit (unlike some others currently on the market) can be easily swapped out between both bikes with little fuss.

The fuel cell I'm working on, will also be morphed to fit this bike as well.

Yeah Mike, now that you've spent all that on two new motorcycles, another thousand shouldn't be much of an issue, right?
Congrats on the new mount! :clapping:

Not according to this statement.

Thanks guys. Skyway, I don't know how much the wee will be farkled but to give you an idea I have already named it "Weejer" after the Feejer. So......, Get yours, build the farkles and they will come. After being on some V-Strom sites they are desperately in need of some high end knowledge of farkles. Well out for some more heat cycles today. should be in the low to mid 60's in the Bay Area. Then I will start initiating myself to the bike and access.

Mike, did you get the ABS? I have seen three riders in my CRVBMW club get 650's

in the last year. Two DL650's and one SV650. They are bullet proof! Great luck

with it.

Vern

No ABS. I don't know even if they are readily available yet and even if they were I don't think I would have opted for one. No switch to turn off the abs on this version for off road.

Congrats on the new ride. I was fortunate enough to be able to throw a leg over one a few months ago. What a great bike! Plenty of farkles out there for that one. Have fun! :clapping:

I got a chance to ride Bluestreak-1's 650 today... I'm smitten! What a great ride!

Had a 650 along with the '04 FJR, but could only justify 1 bike so it had to go. When the '06 is gone, I will replace it with another 650. Great bike.
