Looking at the multple rides WC suggested for the WFO event and looking at the discussions on the board about those who plan to ride just doesn't add up. There are 34 signed up for the Big Dog ride Friday and Orangevale and my self have discussed riding Saturday to the I-80, 49, 20, 89, 174 roads. That's a total of 36 riders. That leaves a total sum of 332 people who have signed up for the event who have not mentioned anything about going on a ride. So......... where are those other folks? Is no one else planning on riding once they hit Reno? Waaaaaaaaaats Up with this? PM. <>< :dntknw:

Riders are free to form groups, go out on their own, whatever they desire to do. The WFO Staff is NOT leading any group rides, but we offered up the 10 different WFO routes because we know them to be outstanding rides that attendees are free to run, or not, as they see fit.

WFO-5 attendees are responsible for creating their own fun as far as local riding is concerned; the WFO Staff has focused more on creating fun when you're not riding (Go-Kart Racing, TBS clinics, Man **** Contest, Alcoholic Golfing, etc)

BTW... I see we're up to 370 WFO attendees this morning; wonder if we'll break 400 by showtime...? B)

Well, I think there are 11 signed up for the SS1K Friday as well as the 34 for the Big Dog Friday ride. I put out an invite over on EZBored and didn't get one response. :dntknw:

I'm guessin' a whole bunch of people are coming from a long ways away and just want to socialize, or they're respectful of the dangers of the kind of roads involved, or they're just planning on heading out to ride on their own. There will also probably be a lot of last-minute ride planning, once we all get together and realize how boring it is.

Myself, I'm riding long & hard on Friday, then gonna hang around the hotel Saturday, visit some family in Reno and generally take it easy leading up to the big Bang-quet Saturday night!

I have a short ride planned for the way out... :D

Personally I'm leaving my options open for Saturday. After doing 500 miles to Reno Thursday, the "1000 Before Dinner" (I'm one of the 11) on Friday, and knowing that I have 500 home on Sunday, I MAY not feel like getting on the bike Saturday. Then again....????

And 75% of them appear to be bringing P&J sammiches mommy made 'em, if the last Banquet Report is accurate.

There's also the Saturday Little dog ride, but it's a lot less "organized" than Friday's 10 page discussion...

Mmmm, PB&J. Good idea, since I might not be back in time and don't do red meat anyway. Either that or pizza, our usual & customary Friday night faire. :)

Come on Toe, that mochine will do 156+. You can make it back in time. You can do sucky sandwiches or pizza any time. Rads right on, hey its party time....PM. <>< :yahoo:

Del, as has been my experience at past events, people will meet up and form groups to do rides. Last year we decided to ride down to Whidby Island after breakfast and ended with 5 or 6 bikes joining up. These things take on a life of their own. And as has been mentioned, some have ridden great distances to GET to Reno. A couple of days rest and they turn around and do it again. We were priviledged to have a couple of riders join us in Oregon for the last day's ride to Skagit, as they were on their way West.

Yuh never know what'll happen. But it will be fun...and the food and company are great.
