I am going to get four days off next week so I thought I would try to get one more ride in before the weather turned. I have been on almost every road in Oregon and was looking for somewhere a little different.

A road I found on the map that looked interesting and was close enough to fit into my time frame was Hwy 95 in Idaho. Has anyone here been on Hwy 95 from Weiser, Idaho to Lewiston? Is the road paved and OK? How is the scenery? Are there any good camping areas? Any other info you might have would be great.

Thanks

95 is a major two-laner linking that state. I don't think it's even a question about that road being decent. Probably almost too decent and not twisty enough for my taste. At least nothing listed on MS S&T about road construction. Haven't been on it in a while though.

I'm headed to the Chiliburger Run Saturday in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho which is about about 75 miles from Weiser. (not to late to go if you want)

Either on my trip down or trip back I'm thinking of running a route somewhat parallel to 95 that involves Oxbow, Hell's Canyon Dam, The Imnaha Highway, Enterprise/Joseph, and (in my case) back to the West towards home. I'm told it's all paved though very twisty in parts and LOTS of scenery. I'm going to imagine it's very quiet post Labor Day. Might just be the perfect late season ride.

Here are two options for you to look at and compare:

Weiser to Lewiston: 228 miles

Horseshoe Bend to Lewiston: 266 miles

Thanks Ignacro for the info. The area, in Oregon, that you are going to go through is truly great. I have been through there many times. You will really injoy it. I am just looking for something new that is within my reach. Thanks
