I'm Planning to go to California to visit my brother in Manhattan Beach. I go there once a year and spend about a week or so. He used to have a '99 Fat Boy that I would steal and putt around on. In the four years he owned it, he only put 2300 miles on it. About 1000 of them were by me.

I'm bored with my usual rides of the places I know how to get to. The rock Store, and going up Mohlholland Dr. And PCH to Malibu. I would like to check out some other places. Maybe even a 2 or three day ride. I am going to rent a bike from Eagleriders over by LAX. They give me a good deal on a bike. I have been renting from the for a few years now and I can usauly get a Road king or Low Rider for $50.00 a day in Jan. or Feb. I'll give them a call when I figure out my plan.

Anyway, I'm thinking about sometime around the end of May. So if any of you guys are planning something for around that time and wouldn't mind me tagging along, let me know. I would love to meet some of you and see some more of what California has to offer. :D

O.K. , you made me look around a bit.

I found a place in Long Beach that rents sport bikes.

They even have Ducatis :D

So much for being budget minded.

If you get here in time, the next group ride coming up in NorCal will feed your twisty road appetite guaranteed! You won't be bored on these roads, trust me.

The next group ride? Which is...Open passes? Or something sooner?

Something sooner in April, if I'm correct. I thought MM2 was waiting for you to give him dates? Don't quote me though, I know nothing.

Yeah, Bob, if you'd only answer your emails! I lost the "free weekend" dates you sent me, so get them to me ASAP...I think you're gonna like this one!

Thanks for the replies,

It seems that I have to rethink my plans now.

My girlfriend wants to go to VA. Beach for the Memorial Day weekend. So now I have to put off CA. for a few months.

It should be a nice ride tho. I'll be going from Long Island to Albany to pick her up and then down to Va. Beach. Will take the Skyline Dr. though the Shenandoah Nat'l. Park. Just hope the traffic won't be too bad being a holiday week end and all.
