Please don't wine taste and ride.

I rode from Cameron Park (HWY 50) to Fiddletown Road (HWY ?) to Kirkwood (Hwy 89) to Carson Pass to see the fall colors. Everywhere I stopped people ignored to fall colors and wanted to talk about the '05 FJR ABS which was bug splattered but still awesome. I was going to go to Markleeville for lunch and Alpine Lake (Hwy 4) but my new farkle throttlemeister CC came free (no locktite) so I went over to Lake Tahoe and home Via Hwy 50. On the way home the Wifey @ home wanted some apple strudel so I got off HWY 50 onto Carson Road in apple hell. I stopped in at Madrona Vineyards and got a couple of bottles of the best Zin in the world. On the way out some ****-smoker pulled up on an '89 FJ1200 and blocked my egress. When I asked him to move he responded in a slurred tongue, "Dude, iss phat da '05 FFJJRR?”

What a *******. He was out wine tasting, with his skinny meth-ugly girlfriend/wife/hag on the pillion and the were both blasted.

This kind of behavior ruins our reputation as citizens who ride responsibly.

I have always been partial to the Ridge, Unti, Lytton Springs and Chateau Potell. Guess I will have to try the Madrona. Sound advice on the wine tasting. I love good wine and I love riding. Personally, I will not even taste a little while out on a ride. For me that would be an extremely slippery slope!

The only time we drink is when the bikes have been to bed windsheild cleaned for the next days ride and covered, thats when we sit down to chew on some beef jerky and have a couple of beers to wind down. When you've been rideing all day your mind is realing from the joy of doing curvy roads and all the sights you have seen. As it was with us we had set up the tents as we were motorcycle camping when possible and when not well theres always motel 6 some where. :p this past week we did 2300 miles in seven days.
