I dropped my Husky rear fender subframe off at the local welder for some enhanced bracing. 2 weeks later, they still haven't touched it. A few other shops didn't want to touch it for under $125, and the stock part is only $35! Any recommendations? Just need to weld in a few support strips to strengthen it from bending when I fall down.

Dr rich has a tig welder inn that fab shop. Not sure how much bourbon it takes to tig weld these days.

If I was still at the sheet metal shop that I worked at when I was in the accident, I would have done it for you. Let me ask a couple friends that weld aluminum. Will probably be nothing or next to nothing.

Remember that for every pound you add to the bike, you have take that pound off fat your body - it's the dirt bike rule!

Dave, you should check with your Matchless brother. He has a friend that is a professional welder.

Also Crazy Jack is a professional welder but don't know if he has access to a tig.

Thanks all. I will start with Matchless Mike as he is local.

Carver, imagine if I lost 30 lbs. That'd be worth an IMS tank fo sure!

Three Rivers Marine in Woodinville has a fab shop that would easily take care of your project. Talked to Curt in the service dept. yesterday and he said bring it in.
