This is NOT an attempt to organize anything, I am not even for sure going to be able to make it, however, just sitting around looking at the maps I wondered about the different ways folks would be motoring that way from up here? Planning is fun, right.

I haven't yet figured out my routes to and from RR. However, I would definitely be interested in joining up with any riders who are going there. I live in the Wenatchee area - anyone from this area or passing through on the way and interested in connecting?

First RR that I'm going to miss.

Y'all head down through central Oregon and it'll be a good day!

Have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do!!

Just as an FYI : hwy 20 is closed 30 miles east of Sweet Home,Or. Easy enough to bypass with Quartzville-Detroit or 126.

Is there a good goat trail between Quartzville-Detroit?
Quartsville road / Santiam FS 11 54 miles of paved twisties. I've been on it a couple times but don't rush it cause it's one lane in places with two way traffic . Great fun.

Throwing some numbers out. My trip planner has gone awry sooo memory logs and map mileages. Home (Snohomish) to Ellensburg 118 miles 1.5hrs-2hrs, 405 is shit to I-90 weekdays am and the pass is who knows(Back roads have school buses). Ellensburg to Goldendale right at 112 from Ellensburg, usually around 1.5hrs to Mickey D's and gas(second exit). Goldendale to Biggs 11ish miles, Biggs to Condon 50 (windy) miles, Condon to Fossil 20ish miles, Fossil to Bend (thru Antelope) 108miles ref. Oregon mileage table and Bend to LaPine about 25miles adding all the little numbers as best I can. About 444 miles as I reckon it. Feel free to add in additions or corrections. Memory banks are getting a little old. No times published after Goldendale it is run what you brung.

Make sure you take the canyon road from Ellensburg to Yakima

Totally agree about that Yakima River Canyon road (SR 821). A group of 4 of us experienced it back in May this year, and we loved the curves and relative lack of traffic.

Did you note the very low speed limit? Have some friends that got performance awards there, including one for 70 plus, it is easy to do on that road.

Festar and I saw many Cops on the Yakima to Ellensburg road several years ago, thankfully they were lazy and running Radar constantly so we had plenty of advance notice of their presence.

It was a nice fast road before the idiots found it.
