Members of EOD Unit 11 are planning a Poker Run in honor of their three fallen brothers in Iraq. Chief Explosive Ordnance Disposalman (EWS) Gregory J. Billiter, Explosive Ordnance Disposalman 2nd Class (EWS) Curtis R. Hall and Explosive Ordnance Disposalman 1st Class (EWS) Joseph A. McSween all died “from enemy action while conducting combat operations,” according to DoD.
The rough plan is for everyone to meet up at the Sea Plane Base in Oak Harbor on Friday, April 20 at noon. Then run down the island and back up to Anacortes to terminate at either the Rockfish Grill or the VFW (depending on attendance). The entry fee will be $10, and you may not get anything out of it but a nice ride.
