Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Collision

Police said it happened at about 4 p.m. Monday on Interstate 35 near Heritage Trace Parkway in Fort Worth.

One person was killed after a sport utility vehicle ran into two motorcycles that were pulled over under a bridge as a heavy downpour of rain started, police said.

Two other people were taken to John Peter Smith hospital where they were listed in serious condition.

There was no word on whether the SUV driver would face any charges.

It did pour like crazy today here in FTW but it was fairly brief. Could be a factor. Still very very sad though. God's peace to their families.

Yep, news reported they were taking shelter under the overpass. The SUV lost it somehow and hit both bikes. A child, the Mom and the Grandma. Grandma is the one that didn't make it.

Do be careful out there. I guess if I ever stop under a bridge, I am getting off the bike.

Damn, that sucks.

I've stopped under overpasses before while on the bike but I NEVER stay on the bike when doing it. I always get off the bike and on the other side of the guardrail - just in case.
