Race isn't over, but Pedrosa just totally wrecked out Nicky (who was running third).

Rossi running 1st and Edwards 2nd.

Pedrosa is gonna get his ass kicked, judging by Nicky's reaction in the gravel.

Elias just by inches beats Rossi, leaving Rossi up 8 points on Nicky for the last race.

There's another aspect about this situation.... a lot of the blame should be placed DIRECTLY on Honda's shoulders, for failing to issue any "team orders".

I'l bet there will be times over the next few days that Nickey will regret just having signed another 2 year contract with HRC.... after this despicable showing by that robotic Spanish Fly, if I was Nickey, I'd make signing any contract conditional on unloading Pedrosa as his teammate.

Which, of course, will never happen.

Maybe that team orders was for Pedrosa to lead and slow Rossi so Nicky could stay in points???

Extremely stupid ass move by Danny though! What the Hell was he thinking? At least Elias winning keeps Nicky in the running. Awesome to see KRjr. up front and running a competitive speed!

Hopefully Pedrosa doesn't know Kungfu or some other form of whoopass and turns the table on Nicky in the asskicking contest for boneheaded moves!!

Team orders or not that was the stupidest move I have ever seen watching sports! Pedrosa should but will not have his butt whipped because of the huge Spanish MotoGp following. I am just totally bummed after following Nickey since he was a little boy and to lose in this fashion is truly disheartening. Again Pedrosa should be fired on the spot but he won't as already has been said.

Good to see Elias win !!! But man...Pedrosa just became the " Idiot Kicker " of MotoGP. Hopefully Nicky can pull it out at Valencia, but it did make for an excellent exciting race !!! Valentino proved to be his hilarious charming self during the post race and add a little brevity to the situmation. Shame on Dani and shame on HRC for not communicating with its players. Pedrosa ought to take a look at Colin Edwards as to how to behave like a teammate...

Dumbest move I've ever seen in racing, and I wish that someone (anyone) would have smacked Pedrosa right then. He absolutely deserved that and more.

But the sad reality will prevail - MotoGP has a huge following in Europe, and in the end Nicky is the expendable one. Although he was leading the championship he hadn't won many races (I think 2 this year, 3 in total, but I may be wrong), and Pedrosa has got plenty of publicity. I won't be surprised if next year the team 'order' is Pedrosa 1, Hayden 2. Sad, and not just, but commercial reality.

Wait a minute....fire Pedrosa? Horse crap. Nicky had just stuffed Danny pretty good on the previous lap, Danny tried to give it back and blew it. That's racing, nothing more. I think Nicky looked like a little girl throwing that fit. Shame on him, really.

The way I saw it was Nicky's pass on Pedrosa was tight but legal. Pedosa just went over the berm and lost it and took Nicky out in the ensuing crash. I don't believe in team orders but that was one stupid move on Pedosa's part.

Did you catch Kenny Jr. saying he backed off Rossi at one point because he didn't want to have everybody mad at him for taking out a points leader too? And Rossi saying Elias was racing like a demon (or was it the devil?Can't remember now -- anybody seen my Aricept?).....Rossi looked happy.

8 points......Rossi looks good for the title. I feel just terrible for Nicky, even though I am a Rossi fan. Nobody likes to see competitors wiped out before they can show their stuff on the track. He had a right to be pissed, and my understanding is generally, Hayden is a quiet and even-tempered guy usually.

It was a shame, but the end of the race was great.

I agree! My family thought I was crazy, yelling at the TV. There have been some awesome last laps this year. I'm sure there won't be any mention of it in the local newspapers or press but racing doesn't get any better than that. NASCAR has totally taken over the racing press in this country.
