Hmmm, I was able to see mine easily through the right lower fairing slot. Maybe there's something else out of place on yours Rad that's obstructing the view. Definately easier with the bike on the side stand than the centerstand since the ground lug in question is underneath a ledge on the front of the motor. Ion's pics are very helpful as long as you can tell the front of the motor from the back. It was within a few mm of touching on mine, but there's enough clearance that I'm ok with it as-is.You really won't see it through the fairing slot-the hose is positioned so as to prevent seeing the mount. Pretty much impossible without either the front lower or right side plastic off.
I swear it wasn't me!!!!!You can actually see the ground connection through the right lower slit in the fairing with a flashlight. Mine was okay but thanks for the headsup. My model is 2004 so it might be year sensitive or lazy guy on the line sensitive. It's a quick check so do it.
