When I got my '04 FJR I immediately installed a Power Commander to cure the lean stumble. I disconnected the O2 sensor as specified. I have never really noticed much engine heat when riding the bike. The bike was a 'ticker' and over the winter I had the bike in the shop for valve guide replacement. Since then I have noticed a lot more heat coming from the engine. Also, the check engine light would come on every once in a while but go out quickly so I never got an error code. Yesterday I was riding to Springfield for the AMA Flat-track races and the check engine light came on solid and I got error code 32 which says 'Oxygen sensor correction value too low'. It occured to me that the dealer may have reconnected the O2 sensor. Sure enough, that's what had happened. I disconnected the sensor and the error code is gone. Is it possible that having the O2 sensor plugged in could have leaned the mixture out causing the bike to run lean and put out more heat?
Thanks,
Joe
