Power Commander

A friend of a friend traded in his 05 for an 06 and had a power commander on his 05. He told me he will sell it to me for 100 bucks if I wanted it since I have an 05.

What do these things even do and why would I want it? I'm not the most mechanically inclined person in the world so the info that I'm finding on the net is seemingly useless.

They allow you to adjust the fuel injection map to make the bike perform better. You can tweak the map for various purposes, including running smooth, accelerating quickly, or for better gas mileage. Go to the Dynojet website, and they'll fill your ears on the benefits of adding one.
