Need a little information please.

I looked up on search information to use the auto retrac that is sitting idle after disconnecting for the switched power source to the relay. Good idea. But my dilema is the fact I cannot get it out. It seems to be connected and unless I'm looking at something different, looks like it is set up differently on mine. (i know it probably isn't) Mine is attatched with a red/black and black/red that goes into a wire loom. I can't see a loop to cut in half or even how to get the plug out. They say on the fjr tech that it should come out. If anybody can throw me any ideas of what I'm missing it would be appreciated. I'm an electrical green horn so be patient with me please. Things do not always come easy with me and understanding electrical things. Although I have wired a few things up. Thanks for any information.

Tap your relay off of the blue turn signal wire

In the photo you can see a little latch on the upper side of the connector. You need to press on the latch while pulling the conenctor halves apart.

Haven't yet looked at doing mine on my '06

Thanks. On the site that suggested using this it seems so simple. Not so when I got into it. Didn't see you guys talking about it today, sorry. So its the blue that is the turn signal right? In the pics you can see a blue line in the lower right corner. I just want to verify. Thanks.

I removed the triangle panel underneath the front cowl and got to the backside of the turn signal. I do not know what the blue wire in your pic is, maybe it is ?? Try a tester or meter on it.

Yes it is. Just checked it. It goes down to the right blinker. Thanks for the help. Now I know why I usually hire this stuff done. It feels good when you get it done but it sure is a hassle for me when I try. I also stripped a bolt this week-end. Grrrr

Thanks again for advice. Worked like a charm. Got it connected, the GPS fired right up without battery. :yahoo:
