Power plug

I have the 2010 model with a power plug in the glove box. Can I use that to power my Garmin?

Thats what I use it for. There is a small hole in the bottom of the box with a rubber gromet in it that you can run your cord thru so you do not have to leave the latch open.

My Garmin Nuvi has a ridiculous long lighter socket adapter that also acts as a traffic update receiver. So in my case, no...

I do this...

It also allows me to charge phone, power up a small air compressor (that will fry the lighter socket outlet on the FJR), charge the battery, etc.
