Hey guys and gals.

Here is a question for all of you. Have you ever seen those cars that can shoot flames 20 feet out the exhaust pipes??

Is there a way to setup the PCIII to allow this on the FJR?

I know that it would require some sort of igniter at the tailend of the pipes, and it would mess up the cat, but I was just curious if this was possible.

Can you imagine a flame shooting FJR??

They do it by injecting raw gas at the end of the exhaust pipe, not by an engine fuel adjustment. And I've seen them shoot flames 70-90 feet.

Stepping way outside FJR content -- In the 'good ol' days' of toilet bowl size carbs and low engine efficiency all you had to do was blit the gas peddle a couple of times to overload the engine with gas then hit the igniter switch.

The way the kits worked was to install spark plugs near the exhaust tips, install an ignition coil and an ignition trigger at the rear of the car. The ignition trigger got wired to a switch in the dash area. Rev up the engine to load the exhaust with unburned gas then hit the igniter. Some later kits used propane injection. It is illegal in most states to carry propane in the passenger compartment.

Modern engines, especially the FJR's engine can't exhaust enough combustible vapors to ignite. You would be looking for someplace to stash a propane tank and a good location to drill holes in the mufflers to install spark plugs. I don't recommend sliding your bike down the pavement with a propane tank installed :fire: (Where's the bomb emoticon?)

This is the ultimate BACK OFF alert!
