I have just received a few of the Left front and the left and right rear Powerlet socket kits for the '06 FJR1300. They can be purchased on the following page:

Will you be adding the 06 to the website? Mine was looking over my shoulder the other night as I was surfing the site and it said it felt left out, asked if it had to start ticking and heating up like an 05 to get included :D

I assume that you mean add the '06 to the Motorcycle Showcase. If that is the question the answer is yes. Sooner than later now that you asked.

I have just installed a Powerlet kit on my 2006 1300AE and it did not go well. The white plug that separates the battery cable from the power outlet is too large to fit between the inner fender and the frame. I had to remove the plastic plug from the power outlet side to feed the wires through to the interior, then the wires would not stay in the plastic housing when it was replaced. There is no extra wire to work with on that piece either, it is very short. I ended up just sticking the bare blade connectors into the battery cable plug and coating them with liquid electric tape for insulation. There was not enough wire I could get to, to wrap with tape.

Also they put the fuse up by the battery so that you have to remove the right front panel to replace it. I think it should be under the seat.

RedDawg, I installed the left rear single powerlet outlet on my bike and experienced the small space between the inner fender and the frame. I took off some tupperware on the left side and with a lot of energy finally got the white connector to link up with the wire run under the tank and to the battery. Right on, I had to remove the right hand flat panel to get to hoop up the positive lead. the cable needs to be longer as the fuse is very close to hitting the right tube of the triple tree in a full right lock. I did not have to disconnect any wires to the white plug to make a complete and functioning install. Lucky I guess.
