Well,

My pain, someone's gain.

Bought wife a 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan Vaquero,"The Rare Red", back in April 13' to replace her Suzuki Boulevard M90.

She test drove it and really loved all the red and dash stuff. I think because most of our riding group rides HD's. This was a great alternative.

Well after 3 months she says it's too heavy for her and still didn't solve her back problems. Tried to get her to try Sport Touring before.

This time she actually test drove a sport tourer, and a dual sport and fell head over heels for the Suzuki V-Strom DL1000

(well to keep the peace, can't say: "I told you so"...can type it here though.

Posted this listing on Craigslist in hopes of moving it fast. See them on line for 12k and up, this one is at $10,300 and negotiable a little.

Hope link works.

So tell me, did that big Vulcan crank out the engine heat for her like so many others have complained about? I saw the part about heat shields. Other than that I've heard it's a really, really nice bike for folks into that style and comfort.

edit: BTW, I posted your ad on a Kaw forum I frequent. Hope you don't mind but my cut will be minimal upon sale

Much Thanks for posting on the Kaw Forum.

Yes the heat was one of her issues... (only when stopped); of course she rides in jeans, but that's the nature of V-twin world I suppose.

I listed it on Ebay today as well.

She is keen on the Red V-strom and now I am glaring at the Red FJR...WOW! and Canadian Black....Whew!!!
