Dropped my 05 in a right hand corner. Low sided at fairly low speed. Accident was late last Thursday. Turned the claim in that day. The adjuster showed up today and wrote me a check for the bike damage and gear. I was so happy that they made a hard time so easy. He said if I found any hidden damage he would come back and hook me up. These people were all VERY nice and I will be with them a long time. Rating them a 10 on a 1-10 scale.

Progressive has been VERY good to me. A local FJR rider went down a few weeks back. I forget what insurance company he has, but they were a major PITA to deal with.

I might as well chime in too. This is what I think of when I see those (frequent) threads asking "what do you pay for insurance?" Not only is that meaningless, since rates are based on so many factors that don't apply equally to everyone, but it's the service you're really buying. And I don't even mean how quickly they return your calls or how friendly they are. What do they really DO? And cover? My experiences on claims has been A number One with Progressive. Plus they have the most generous tow policy I've seen--150 miles, no argument--to get the bike where it needed to go, for a really tiny extra annual charge. (Towing's damn expensive, too.)

And, of course, you get Flo.

I’ve had two experiences with Progressive claims. First one was on the FJR blown over in a storm that was a nightmare and cost me a half a summers riding while they tried to save a few bucks refinishing some inexpensive parts instead of replacing them. It was a long story with a $96.00 crankcase cover taking multiple trips from the motorcycle store, to the body shop, back to the motorcycle store, on the bike, off the bike, back to the body shop and finally back on the bike.

They sort of redeemed themselves this winter when the son hit a raccoon with a car. Things went seamless with the exception of using non OEM parts. The premiums prices are untouchable in this area and I’m happy with customer service with the exception of the adjuster I had for the bike tip over.

I am an independent agent with Progressive in Connecticut. It really is a good company to work with as well, very easy to manage, and their prices are competitive. PM me if anyone in Ct wants a free quote. FYI I've been nagging my rep for either a Flo bobblehead, or lifesize cardboard cutout!

She's got nice red lipstick....
Markie, it's the same shade of red HotRodZilla wears!

I won't ask how you know that...and please don't respond.
He lies. That's the shade he wanted me to wear. Said it reminded him of Skooter. When I declined and left the room, him and Howie were in their tighty-whiteys sharing a bottle of whisky and giving each other the eye. I don't even want to imagine what happened after I left.

AJ: I've got a video, I just emailed it to you! You're Welcome, You don't even have to thank me!

That video of you and Howie? I have it. I use it to scare away Coyotes and skunks.

Progressive was VERY fair to me when I totalled a bike in '05.

I just wrote the check for another year with them today. I even got the ABS deduction this time around. I've never used the towing but it is good to know people had a good experience. Customer service has always been good to me, and I'm glad the OP had a good experience too.

Towing is good. Last time I totalled a bike they paid the $500 towing from Yellowstone to Billings without any questions.
