I am considering Wilburs(hyperpro) progressive fork springs for my 2008fjr. I am not an avid twisties rider looking for ultimate anything, however I do go a long way in a hurry at times, places like Beartooth, Chief Joseph etc, and am looking at the versatility aspects of progressives. Got them on my wing and had them on my Connies. Have racetechs 1.0s and they are a little much for me, even though my weight is 215. Comments?

I weigh 205 if you wanna sell your old setup lemme know please. Disregard! I've got a gen 1.

All springs are "progressive", but only linear springs are progressive at a linear rate. There is a reason why the top suspension gurus and racing teams use linear springs. Its hard enough to achieve consistent damping on linear springs, you don't need to complicate things by having springs that have multiple/changing spring rates. If 1.0 springs are giving you a harsh ride its probably because of damping rather than the spring rate but if you feel you really need lighter springs than buy some high quality linear springs.

Take a look at:

I used progressive springs in my '92 K100RS. It would bottom out while crossing drainage dips at intersections. It really fixed the problem. I did not notice any other improvements though My FJR doen't have that problem so not needed. Your results may vary.
