You may recall from the Hooterville 400 thread that Smitty was working on a FJR trike kit and had the prototype done, with hopes of marketing in August or September...
It just happened Peter and Steve stopped in at Hannibal's world famous "Mark Twain Dinette" (frequented by Alton Brown. the rider and Food channel guy) for breakfast while heading to Wisconsin...
They invited me to join them, and while waiting, I spied what appeared to be Yamaha's prototype trike setup for the FJR. Naturally, they had it painted up to break up and hide the lines to spies with cameras like me...
So I got closer and took a few shots. Washington state, huh? Probably slipped it across the border from Canada...
I finally caught the test pilot loaded up and moving. Notice the handbag now hanging with the rest of the luggage?
Hitting the open road. Yehaaaa!!! In case you didn't notice, this is a woman driving this thing. A very big woman... at least 6 feet and... several... pounds.
Everything looked home made, and the power plant looked like a 4 cylinder out of a FWD. A real small FWD. Nope, not a VW engine.
She had a gear shift behind her left leg. The exhaust was home made, and whole rig was rough, really rough... but unique. I liked the leather seat.
What a babe.
