My son's wife has very recently given my wife and I our first grandchild. Little boy called "Emmett Blayde". I am convinced that this is the meaning of life.

I posted something similar just one year ago. Last weekend we attended Savannah's first birthday party. She had a blast with her little birthday cake. She had it all over her face and in her hair. We stood around her in a giant semi-circle of laughter. It was a hoot. She really enjoyed her cake, and we really enjoyed watching her stuff her little fingers in it. I never knew they were called "smash cakes." Ha - and that's exactly what she did to it.

My older brother became a paw paw about 18 months ago and the almost instant transformation from a fairly strict parent to a doting, spoiling grandparent is amazing!

Congrats! I have 5 grandchildren of my own, the oldest being 13 (already). The funny thing is that, I'm still in my thirties (well my brain thinks so). It's great to watch these little people.

I was kinda like cool, I'm going to be a GrandPa. Until he was born and I could hold him in my arms then it really took off on me. I cry when we visit and we have to leave him there in Dallas, Congrats to you and your daughters new family, it truly is the meaning of life.
