Quick warranty question

I bought a very slightly used '06 FJR A from another board member, and I am curious if the warranty work has to be done at the stealer that sold it to him, or is it like cars where every dealer has to honor warranty repair work?

I've already had the "W" on my windshield replaced at a different dealer than where I bought mine. No problems whatsoever, other then the scratched my windshield up. The original "W" kept trying to fall off.

You mean they didn't charge you for those scratches pig? I know some dealers that would have.

Factory warranty is honored at all factory dealers under terms of their dealership contract.

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry I didn't see that post, but I did do a search like a good newbie. I typed in "Warranty" and found almost a dozen posts and read every one of them. Problem is, I only searched in FJR specific and Tech forums.

Don't feel rained on. Most of us suck with the search.

Maybe Iggy will take pitty on us and pin us a post with the secret codes and some good instructions on how to search for "x,y,z" and pics and stuff.

Pretty simple my friend. I didn't think it needed pinning anything. Nothing secret. Learn exactly like I did.

1) Click on the Search button at the top to the right of Help and left of Members.

2) Click on Advanced Usage Help

3) Read. Learn. Try It Two or Three Times. You're a searcher for life.

Possibly the harder part is deciding what to search on. I happen to know that Warranty stuff was in the New User FAQ because it's asked so much by newbies. If I hadn't known I would have put +warranty +factory and found it in a relatively short list. If that didn't work I would have tried variations like +warranty +Yamaha or others.
