Hey folks, quick question for any of you using a RAM mount for a GPS on a feejer.

If things go according to plan (fingers crossed here), I'm going to be flying out to Ohio to pick up an '04 FJR from the seller, and riding it back to Massachusetts.

I'd like to bring my Garmin GPS276c and the RAM mount from my ZZR1200 for the trip home, and I want to be sure the clutch lever bayonnet mount will work on the FJR. I've got the RAM cradle, a long arm, a short arm, a two-ball adapter, and this bayonnet mount:

I believe this ought to work on the FJR's clutch bracket - can anyone confirm?

I'm a bit nervous about a long-distance, sight-unseen purchase, but what can I say, the wife really wants the bike! B)

Thanks all.

Get this RAM mount conversion kit that will fit the mirror mount hole on the clutch reservoir. It will make things a lot simpler. You'll need to scroll to the bottom of the page to see it. It worked for me when I mounted my Garmin 2720.

I have exactly that (well, I have the 2ball version, actually) for my Garmin 2610, it works and fits fine.

Buy another mount for the right side and put an escort radar detector there with a H.A.R.D. unit, add some Motorcycle larry's 6 degree risers and you will enjoy your long distance ride home. :D

BTW: I wish my wife was even slightly positive about the murdercycle or donorcycle. The only thing that made her stop bitchin was increasing my life insurance from 2X to 4X my annual salary. <_<
