I used to be a member of Ramapo and laid out a number of "500" routes. You can count on some great riding and an overall good time. I hope you pre-registered because I'd hate to see you ride all the way from Michigan to get turned away due to registration being full up.

Yeah, we're pre-registered. I think.. Maybe, haven't heard anything. But they cashed the check, so I assume we're good.

We're cheating. Bikes are being trailered out for a few reasons. One being time constraints. Second being a wife who works third shift that has to sleep on the way there after being up all night and also adding to the time constraints waiting for her to get out of work. And third, Nick can't ride his Sprint ST that far in a day.

Yes, your canceled check is your confirmation of registration. I was just talking to the president of Ramapo last night and he said he had received some "500" pre-registrations from Michigan. That is probably you.

Have a great time and ride a twisty mile for me.

I will do that.

I sent an email about 3 weeks ago asking about GPS files and never heard anything back. I've heard they had them and CoPilot usually takes some massaging to get them to work right. I was hoping I'd be able to take care of that before the morning of the ride.

Is there some close kept secret with these? I would have at least expected a response. If you happen to talk to him again, maybe see if you cane get an answer.

You earn your "500" finisher's pin by riding the whole route on both days. The location of the campground for Saturday night is kept a secret to prevent participants from short cutting the route to the campground. That is why you can not get GPS files in advance.

Guess nobody told me that part. That pretty much explains why details are so vague.
