After installing my V1 mount, and removing the chargeGuard (never quite worked right), I noticed a rattle coming from the left hand side of the bike. I was sure it was a loose screw or something rattling against the battery as I had those panels off to do the wiring.

After removing the panels again, and going on several rides where I'd push/pull on various things, with various panels on and off the bike (while trying to keep an eye on the road as well), I just couldn't figure out where it was coming from. :(

I thought I'd look again today with the bike on the center stand and see if I could hear it and isolate it easier. Well, I found it.

The two little magnets in the RAM power plate, that I'm using for the V1, rattle around a bit if there's no metal plate to hold them firm. Damn, that was a hard one to find.

On a similar note, when I was installing my powerplate, the two magnets dropped out and stuck togther. After I managed to pry them apart (no mean feat), I put them back in... and proceeded to assemble everything. Put the metal plate on the V1, and stuck it on the power plate... and it attracted it... but it sure didn't hold that strongly!... What's up with that????? So I thought about it for a minute or two, and tried putting the metal plate near the underside.... THUNK! I had put the magnets in upside down, with the strong field facing the wrong way.... DOH!
