Re-waterproofing First Gear HT overpants

We had our first _serious_ rain storm here and to say my FG pants leaked would be too kind. Flooded is more like it. I got to work looking I wore my jeans in the shower.

I've tried to spray old FG stuff with Scotchguard before and was underwhelmed with the results. Any suggestions on re-waterprofing these pants?

i used the nikwax wash and the waterproofing that goes in the washer and then the spray and have been happy with the result.
