Rear diff oil level

I got paranoid..drained the oil after a ride, measured it..175ml, 25ml low...Measured out 220ml and refilled it. My conclusion is that estimating the level by visual inspection is not sufficiently accurate.

Wife complained that her small measuring cup smelled funny

mL? I have absolutely no idea how much I put in. The right amount is until it is full to the brim as per the owners manual. They even show a diagram with the fill just to overflow. Nominal capacity is given as 200 mL but a final drive is not exactly a volumetric device.

There you go BS'in us again. Now you're measuring oil in mm instead of ml and using new math.
