I would like to install a powerlet outlet on the left side rear of an '06 but am not quite sure what placement would work the best. I would need it to plug in an Aerostich heated jacket. Does anybody have a pic that can share showing their installation? Would it be preferable to install a double outlet right away for possible future pillion heat or can the single outlet be split with a dual cable?

Not that this helps with the initial question (I have them on my 05), but make sure you use the rubber condom looking things (and do anything else you can do to weatherproof the connectors) on the back of the powerlet, even though it is a PITA to thread the connectors through. That area of the bike gets a lot of road splooge.

Powerlet is telling me the dual will not work on the '06. New part numbers for the '06 are on the way.
