How quickly do you want it, and how much do you want to give for it? I am about to receive my smuggler, so no rear seat needed (never take a passenger).

Joe - I am working on making a poor mans smuggler. I think there has to be a better way than to pay Corbin $900 bucks. I don't have great fabrication skills but thought if I could at least get something mocked up I could then solicit help to make it look better. Then I can post how to do it on the forum so people can make them for themselves. Like what you are doing with the CAD stuff.

That is why my offer for the seat was so little.

I thought that you might be up to something like that.

I'm working on a similar project, but I ditched the rear seat pan and had a 1/8" sheet of aluminum sheared and formed. I'm going to use the front two screws that anchor the grab rail to hold it. The idea was one of the many tangents that resulted from my auxiliary tank project. <Link>

Here's a photo of it:

It doesn't have the sleeves for access to the screws yet, ... picture a couple of deep counterbores over the location of those screws.

I was really hoping to do this based on a seat pan. I think it would make it easier for people without metal working skills to do this. I was thinking fiber glass. While it messy it is not that hard to do.

I am very surprised somebody does not have an old rear seat they want to let go of cheap. Come on guys hook a brother up!
