A friend of mine was working on an older Hardly, and he wasn't getting any spark. So he took the magneto down to have it recharged. It took them about an hour, and now it's working fine. What do they do to recharge them? I wouldn't think a winding of wires could hold a charge  or am I just floating out in left field somewhere without a clue?

Look here: Magneto Charging

NEW GROUP BUY!

WWII aircraft magnetos, freshly re-charged and ready to install on any year FJR!

No more being stranded when the battery is low or dead!

And,

stay tuned for the next group buy,

FJR Kickstart levers!

...LOL

I'd never heard of repolarizing magneto magnets but it does make sense..

Apperenlty it works, my friends bike had no spark. He had the Magneto recharged, and the bike fired right up.
